Q: Is the lettering individual "letters" or is it one decal?

A: The vinyl lettering is produced and shipped to you as one piece with a backing-paper and transfer tape on top, once the lettering is applied to your surface and transfer tape removed, it will leave the individual lettering on your surface. So yes, techinally when finished, they are individual. This is better explained in the video seen here.
